Bahia de las Aguilas is an 8 km in length beach located on the west coast of the Park. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches not only in the country ,in the world. It is comprised of fine white sand from the beautiful coral reefs near the coast.
In recent years the development of tourism in Bahia has been a great source of debate in Dominican society, occupying large spaces in the media. Due to the proximity of reefs to the shore, near any land-based pollution could degrade rapidly.
The wildlife that inhabits the area is varied, the Eagles at Bay inhabits many copies of the hawksbill turtle, manatee and green iguana.
One of the access routes to this paradisiacal place, is taking the road that goes from Barahona to Pedernales, a few kilometers before reaching Pedernales is a left turn to the town of Cabo Rojo. Something very important to take into account is that the place is only possible in vehicles with strong traction.
The visit to Bay of the Eagles was an interesting adventure that will enjoy a beautiful and natural place, a beautiful beach, a rocky area and full of life as well as many other items offered by Mother Nature. It is located about 4 hours away from Santo Domingo.
